Is your meat organic?
We don't pay for the government sticker. It costs too much and the paperwork keeps us out of the field. But we don't spray our pastures, we don't pump our animals with hormones, and we respect the land. If that's what you mean by organic, then yes.
Do you ship?
No. Meat is heavy and shipping is wasteful. We sell to our neighbors and people willing to drive here. Come see where your food comes from. It's worth the trip.
How much freezer space do I need?
A quarter beef takes up about 4-5 cubic feet. That’s about half of a small chest freezer. A whole lamb fits in the top shelf of a standard kitchen freezer. Clears it out, but it fits.
Can I visit the farm?
Sure, but call first. We're working. If you catch us on a slow day, we might show you the calves. If you catch us during hay season, we might hand you a pair of gloves.
How do I contact you?
The best way to reach us is on Facebook: Barclay Farms.
We check messages once a day after chores.
Ready to fill your freezer?
We only harvest a few times per year. Don't miss out.
